People who are familiar with the K-car platform of the 80s would immediately think of Chrysler as the one responsible for its invention - now used by all automotive manufacturers. Some motorists consider the K-platform as an invention of Lee Iacocca that was introduced following his termination as chairman of Ford Motor Corporation in 1978. Owing to this technological contribution, Chrysler reinforced its status in the industry, as car sales remarkably increased nationwide, a feat duplicated by Chrysler West Palm Beach, Florida.
